Ahhh sorry about the jarring thing!
I usually either draw just pupils or just irises. I will draw both, rarely, when the expression calls for it. Since this comic had to be done so quickly I only had time to check for clarity of the actual story line; not continuity errors that are, admittedly, jarring xD
