The most relatable to me is Subaru Natsuki. I did some stupid stuff in high school just to stand out and I'm pretty insecure on not living up to expectations that were placed upon, that I just really didn't care about anything.
Kei kurono (before he got a girlfriend) and Ryota sakamoto. i dropped out of school, though I’m still underage, I’m on my way to becoming a neet like ryota, only difference is i watch anime instead of playing games
probably haruhi fujioka and crona, i just find that my actions and personality are a lot like theirs (haruhi more personality, and crona more actions.).
I think the characters I've been able to relate to the most have been Kuronuma Sawako from Kimi ni Todoke, and Emiya Shirou from Fate/stay night. The former being the most relatable in terms of my personality while younger, and the latter being relatable only to a certain degree.
I also tend to relate to characters that may be seen as neurodivergent, particularly autism.
-Usagi Tsukino from Sailor Moon (I am bad at maths, lazy, clumsy, not so confident and I am very loyal to my friends)
-Jo March from Ai no Wakakusa Monogatari (I like reading and writing and again, the clumsiness)
-Sayaka Miki from Madoka Magica (I can be cheerful, but also very hard on myself and I can relate to her idealism)
Takaki Tōno from 5 Centimeters per Second. That anime was a horsekick back then because it hit too close to home. Sometime in the future I have to find the courage to rewatch it again.
Nozomu Itoshiki from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, I panic a lot and take everything too seriously (or don't take it seriously at all when it's needed) as well
